On a large, complex change programme, I agreed with my team to capture risks as they appeared, decide what to do next and act while there was time.
The habit was well received.

Uncertainty is the only certainty; things will not go to plan. Write down your top risks and do something about them, immediately.

Turn one risk into action
At your next project review:
- What are the top threats right now?
- What would cause the biggest delay or loss?
- Which risks need action this month?
